WALL MOUNTED PULL UP BAR
The Pull Up Bar should be one of the very first items on your list to outfit your gym. The Pullup is the number one programmed exercise for moving your bodyweight and we've designed a strong, yet affordable Pull Up Bar System that is great for the beginner and advanced athlete alike.
As your strength develops beyond the dead hang pullup and into a kipping motion for repeated reps, three aspects of a pull up bar's design becomes very important - it's distance from the wall, it's strength and having a static or non-slip bar.
Distance - The center of our pullup bar to the wall is a full 31". This distance allows for a beginner's more aggressive kip both in front of the bar and behind. As your technique and strength increase, the range of motion on a kipping pullup decreases and allows for more efficient, faster movement. But our design leaves ample room for your feet to kick out in front without danger of hitting the walls.
Strength - As the distance from the wall increases, the strength of the pull up bar becomes really important. We've got welded steel gussets and with 3/8" thick attachments to the wall [provided by us], this bar is solid. Our welded 2x1 steel gussets keep the bar super stiff. That's very important for the kipping pull up.
Bar Stability - Our 1" pullup bar [~25MM] will feel comfortable to any athlete. The flat black powder coating will take chalk if necessary but isn't slippery. And we've got two pinch bolts at the top of the gussets that hold the bar firmly so it won't spin. We include a 52" long Pull Up bar with your order and should you need to install the brackets closer together, no problem. The bar slides completely through the bracket.

The product was out of stock for quite some time but it was available when promised. Very solid construction, even the lag screws are of high quality. Installed in about 15 minutes - all you really need is a drill, a level and a ratchet but an extra set of hands definitely makes installation easier.
Rock solid pull-up bar

I looked at quite a few wall hung pull up bars and decided to buy one from Hammerhead Fitness. The brackets are really heavy duty, and the bar itself is the perfect size to grip. I'll admit it did take me more than 10 minutes to mount the brackets to the wall like in the previous review. But with the heavy duty hardware they supplied, this thing isn't going anywhere. It really is rock solid. It will be a great addition to my workouts and looks great hanging in my garage too. All in all, a really good value for the money spent.
Solid and very Reliable

I bought this bar after looking at many others. This bar was exactly what I needed for a lot less cost than other brands. The bar was easy to hang on the wall and easily supports me. It is a rock solid bar for anyone looking to add to their home gym. I highly recommend this pull up bar.

We put the new pull up bars to good use this morning at the impromptu 6am class. Hammerhead Fitness puts out some nice American made steel products - H2K Kettlebell Club - Cortland, OH
Great bar for home

I don't personally own one of these yet, but I got to use one when I picked up some equipment from these guys. First, the website picture does not do this thing justice. There's tons of room between you and the wall for some respectable kipping. I'm 6'1" 205 lbs and had plenty of room for some movement. Your toes might catch the wall if you're doing some serious kipping, but you could always face the other way and then your problem is solved.
Like I said, I'm 6'1" and 205 lbs. I was moving around quite a bit on this thing and it didn't budge once. Bar stays solid, no dip. Bar wasn't slippery either.
Besides the strength and durability of this bar, the most attractive feature is that it's mounted on the wall. Definitely a space saver if you're working in tight quarters.
Once I get a little extra money together, I'd love to make this addition to my garage gym.

Very simple assembly. Took me 10 minutes to mount the support bars. Very sturdy. The distance provided by the support arms are perfect distance to allow for kipping. It can easily handle muscle ups. Great bar Hammerhead!
